Property rights require not only definition but also effective implementation, where the Internet can play a positive role. This paper examines the impact of digital technology, such as E-commerce platforms, on the enforcement of property rights in the context of judicial auctions in China. Our findings indicate that the Internet Judicial Auction (IJA) reform has significantly enhanced auction success rates, which may be attributed to network effects exhibited by E-commerce platforms, enhanced information accessibility, greater convenience for bidders, and mitigated judicial corruption. Beyond its effects on judicial auctions, the IJA reform has also had a broader social impact, influencing judges' efforts in case enforcement and the behaviors of debtors and creditors in financial markets.
