　　摘要：The modern economic system is an important concept in the new plan covering new provisions related to the prospects of China’s economic development in a new era.The concept was proposed in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The so called economic system refers to the entire economy, and the modernized economic system refers to a system that can fully reflect the main features of the present era. State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are an important micro-foundation of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics. The reform and development of SOEs would play an important role in the construction of a modern economic system in China.
